    GBF Ministries Background

    Gospel Believers Fellowship Ministry was started through much Prayer with fasting and Evangelism the year 1972.Through the same, the Church was established at Commonwealth primary School, the Current Moi Primary School in Bungoma town. This is after a Prophecy was given through God’s Servants over Pastor Bushebi. With the then Pastor, Founder and Director Francis and Dora Bushebi, the Church was amongst the first Pentecostal Churches in Tough ‘Musambwa’ Region The Missionaries and other Pastors had warned Bushebi that he will not succeed with the Gospel in Bungoma, keeping in Mind that Bungoma, Bukusu Tribe fought the White Man so much and did not let him in the Community. With MUCH, Prayers and Fasting, God started working Miracles, Wonders, Signs, Healings and Deliverance.

    Being Born in 1943, got Saved in 1964, Bushebi and Sister Dora Started a Church at Mukhweya Village in 1968 (Mukhweya GBF). In the Year 1972, Francis and Dora shifted from Mukhweya Village at the Border of Bungoma and Mumias, Kakamega this after working in Maasai, Taranganya, Nyang’ori Mission, Education Institutions as an Evangelist, fully Trained at Kaimosi Bible College was given a nickname of ‘Father Abraham’ due to his Faith. Being charged and ready for the Gospel, a ‘tough’ Man of God, a Soldier with a high Holy Calling, Brother Bushebi penetrated the ‘Dark’ Clouds of Bungoma to establish a Pentecostal Movement in Bungoma that was later registered as Church Society in 1978 with the name Gospel Believers Fellowship. The Holy Spirit caused ‘Dini ya Musambwa’ ocult religion to start fading away and setting the People of Bungoma Free in Christ Jesus. In Spreading the Gospel of Salvation of Jesus Christ, many more joined the Flock and some became workers of the Kingdom with him.

    With consistent Sacrifice, Hard Work, Much Prayers, diligently seeking the Lord and Following the Lead of the Holy Spirit, GBF Ministry started spreading into the Interior Poor inaccessible rural areas with new churches being established. This brought the Complete Gospel of Salvation with redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ combating the tough evil Traditions, Cultures, Customs, Curses and Familiar spirits that had bound our People.

    Intercession by Sister Dora, Bushebi’s Wife and other Ministers, allowed the overtime job of ‘Personal work (Visitations) to be done, even through the so called ‘Keshas’, Seminars, Conferences, Open Air Crusades winning Souls to the Lord. GBF Church Branches extended to Malinda, Nasianda, Bwake, and then to Kakamega and Busia Counties.  Currently, GBF ministry is spread in East Africa aiming to reach the utmost part of the World.

    Gospel Believers Fellowship is a locally run and established Ministry to bring out to people a true way of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came into the World born of the Virgin Mary, we saw His work as Son, died on the cross, and was risen by our Heavenly Father on the third day, ascended and is seated on the right hand of the Father, Lord God Almighty in Heaven.

    The first vision was to reach the unreached with the simple Gospel of Salvation. Our head church and Head Quarters is in Bungoma Town, Next to Post Office, Moi Avenue. Most of our branches are found in the larger rural regions. Our country also being a peaceful country contributed to easy accessibility of the Gospel. The Gospel expanded to other countries in the1980s.

    We now have several projects that we run as we continue to depend totally on God by FAITH given us through His word. Step by Step, level to another, testimony after testimony, we have seen God in our lives and in expanding Ministry.

     

    Aims

    • Embark on evangelical ministries and programme throughout Kenya and in any part of the world with a view to winning souls for the Lord Jesus Christ and preparing men and women for the second coming our Lord Jesus Christ.
    • Embark on planting, establishment or building of churches, chapels, or any other place of Christian worship in any part of Kenya and the rest of the world, to be known as GOSPEL BELIEVERS FELLOSHIP and to administer same in accordance with the principles of the Bible.
    • To establish manage, organize and run training programmes, conferences, seminars, crusades, schools, institutes for the dissemination of ideas and knowledge in all kinds of human endeavors and for the propagation of Christian religion and promotion of theological and convention education.
    • To establish and run orphanages, maternity homes and homes for children, destitute, the age, and refugees and to cater for same and the unemployed people who are particularly in the household of faith and to do all such things necessary to reduce human pain and suffering.
    • To own and operate conference centres, amusement parks, entertainment and recreation centres, hotel, hospitals, holiday resorts and other related facilities to further the objectives of the ministry.
    • To purchase or take on lease or under lease or otherwise acquire any land, warehouses, mills, cards, aircrafts, ships houses or other buildings, or any other real property of any kind whatsoever and to erect, equip, maintain, manage, alter, pull down enlarge, develop, and improve the same, and to acquire rights and privileges in relation to any land or building for the purpose of its objects.
    • To draw, make, accept, endorse, discount, execute and issue cheques, promissory notes, and bills of landing exchange, warrants and other negotiable or transferable instruments.

     

    Objectives

    • Organize prayer meetings, establish prayer camps and conduct prayer sessions on any matter at any place and for any adequate periods.
    • Organize bible studies, teachings, seminars, discussions and any other programme to facilitate study meaning and learning of the Holy Bible.
    • To confer or permit to be conferred on the ministers or staff of the ministry such tittles, honor, names, awards, rights or privileges, if any, when earned or due in accordance with biblical and ecclesiastics order or in line with its aims and objectives.
    • To publish or cause to be published in any place at any time Christian literature, including tracts, magazines, periodicals, circulars, books, stickers or make such other publication, publicities and expression as may be conducive to and compatible with its aims and objectives herein
    • Make broadcast, announcement, advertisement or otherwise in connection with Christian teachings, witnessing, doctrines and bible knowledge for the purpose of evangelical and promotion of the Christian faith and making known the Lord Jesus Christ throughout Kenya and the world at large.
    • Holding crusades, camps meeting, gatherings, conventions, fellowships, conferences and any other meeting by whatever name called for the pursuance of its objectives.
    • Organize Christian counseling, follow –up teachings, training, seminars, symposia, and any other similar programs for the benefit of its members and any other person
    • Encourage the study, understanding, and practical application of the bible truth in everyday life.
    • Promote mutual understanding, love and peace and unity among men.
    • Cooperate with anybody or bodies whose aims and objective are in line with the ministry.
    • Shine as light amidst the darkness of this world and encourage Christians to fulfill the law of God without relenting.
    • Imitate and engage in charitable, benevolent and other merciful activities towards all men especially to those of the household of faith in Kenya and the rest of the world.
    • To carry on relief programs among people of all nation in alleviation of pain, hunger, poverty and suffering by the provision of food, clothing and medicine.
    • To embark on ministry work, pioneer and research programs in religious, scientific, educational and all field of human endeavor.
    • To adopt all such means as the ministry may think fit to generate funds including donations, gifts, collection, subscriptions, offerings, tithes, aids and allowances
    • To employ all such staff and officer to work as may be required by the ministry.
    • To apply for grant of any power which may be conferred by any legislative or government authority or any license or franchise that may appear conducive to the interest of the ministry and enter into contract with any person, partnership, company authority of Government which may be beneficial to the ministry.
    • To pay a reasonable and proper remuneration/ Support to any staff, officer, servant or employee of the ministry.
    • Meet all expenses of the ministry.
